On a good day, parenting will test the integrity of your character. On a bad day, parenting will test your will to live. Parenting children with trauma histories will cause you to test the integrity of everything and everyone you thought you knew, for the rest of your life.

The Duck Song

My niece introduced us to "The Duck Song" this weekend.

First, let me say, I don't miss teaching, but I do miss spending my day with teenagers. Teenagers are so much fun. (I know, I know, I don't have any yet and I'll be singing a different song later but for now, let me pretend that I like teenagers.)

So this Duck song: I do believe our lovely little duck has learned some tricks from our RADishes. See for yourself.

My kids love this song and I have to admit I get a chuckle out of it myself.

I don't know what it says about me that I was ready to punch the duck out after the second time he asked for grapes and by the third time I was hoping the guy pulled out an Uzi. How many days till Orlando?

I don't even HAVE a RADlet, and I want to punch out the freaking duck!

And it is made infinitely worse by the catchy tune I can't get out of my head. Which means the urge to hit something is staying, too.

I am laughing so hard at both this video & Corey's comment that I have tears running down my face. I totally saw the end coming. As I told my husband, if you didn't see it coming, you don't have a RAD kid. ;-) Although, if the duck were truly RADish, he'd throw a freaking fit every day, too.
